Enrollment
Open enrollment for students who turn three (3) in the current fiscal school year.
- Three-Year-Olds: Children turning three on or before December 1 are eligible for preschool. Those turning three on or after December 2 may enroll on their actual third birthday.
- Four-Year-Olds: Children turning four on or before December 1 can enroll in Preschool.
- It is recommended to apply 2-3 weeks before your child turns 3.
VIP Village Preschool Registration
Preschool registration will be available through the South Bay Union School District’s online registration link. VIP Village parents can start the pre-screening application on March 1. However, due to state regulations, we cannot accept registration documents or begin processing applications until after March 25. Registration Eligibility Criteria
California State Preschool Program (CSPP) - state-funded
- It is based on family size and income ceiling (see image below as reference)
- The family is a current aid recipient
- The family is income-eligible
- The family is experiencing homelessness
- The child is a recipient of child protective services.
- The child has a disability
- Families who have a member of their household who is certified to receive benefits from Medi-Cal, CalFresh, the California Food Assistance Program, the California Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, the federal Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, Head Start, Early Head Start, or CalWORKs

Tuition Rates 2025-26
Part-Day
Five days per week - $755/month ($42 a day x 180 school days, divided by 10 payments/Aug-May) or prorated based on 1st day of enrollment. Rates are subject to state regulations for the CA State Preschool Programs.
Full-Day
Five days per week - $1,168.63/month ($59.93 a day x 195 school days, divided by 10 payments/Aug-May) or prorated based on the 1st day of enrollment. Rates are subject to state regulations for the CA State Preschool Programs.

Tuition-based Preschool Program - Private Pay
- Is available for those families who do not qualify for CSPP.
- Private-pay families are accepted after the qualifying state-funded families are accepted in the order of application.
Calendar
VIP Village Preschool follows the South Bay Union School District calendar July - June
- Part-day students follow the SBUSD student calendar.
- Full-day students have an additional 15 days to their calendar. Five (5) days are added to Fall break, Five (5) days are added to Spring break and Five (5) days are added in June.

Preschool Registration:
- Birth Certificate or Certified copy of Birth Certificate to verify the age of the child registering and of all dependent children in the household.
- Child’s immunization record - Child must have 3 Polio, 4 DPT, 1 HIB (given after 1st Birthday), 1MMR (given after 1st birthday), Hepatitis B series and Varicella. All shots must be documented by a physician or medical clinic. NO Personal Belief Waivers will be accepted. Immunizations Eng Immunizations Span
- Recent proof of income - MINIMUM of 4 consecutive paystubs for all adults in the household.
- If only 1 adult in the household is working—provide current tax returns supporting a single income. Social services, military or monthly paid employees a minimum of 2 consecutive proofs of income. Supporting documentation will be required for single-parent households.
- For self-employed call office for details. The income provided must be for time worked on March 25, 2025, or later.
- Current proof of residence – One of the following utility bills with name and address: Gas & Electric, Water, Cable TV, Trash or Sewer or Title or escrow papers, mortgage statement, lease agreement/rental contract with current rent receipt– NO PAST DUE or telephone/cellular bills accepted.
- Name and telephone number of child’s doctor.
